2020 American Amateur Mead-Cider-Fruit Wine Competition!

Don’t WASTE your time having your homemade Mead, Cider, and Fruit Wines judged by some WINE SNOB who only knows and drinks vinifera wines.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The American MCF Wine Competition is now open for entries! 2020 entry deadline is July 15th. Download entry form and guidelines on tab above. Don’t postpone your entry as depending on response the entry cut-off could be earlier. No late submissions will be accepted.

Our Judges are BJCP CERTIFIED MEAD AND CIDER JUDGES, and/or AFWA CERTIFIED FRUIT WINE JUDGES. We understand homemade wines and home brew. We drink fruit wines, melomels, cysers, you name it. We understand your craft!

The American MCF Amateur Division Wine Competition is open to all amateur/ homemade producers of Mead, Cider, and Fruit Wine, plus exotic wines too,  and aims to promote the craft and industry trade often ignored by the more established wine competitions. Each division will be blind judged by dedicated panels of immensely qualified and certified trade professionals. We don’t use sommeliers, nor any other type of wine snob, we use individuals qualified to evaluate your craft!

After much discussion and with support of our judges, we have determined to move forward with the amateur division our our inaugural American MCF wine competition. Our current expectation is that competition judging will take place the third Saturday in August.
